I am currently back in Brisbane and enjoying some R&R. Its the start of my off season and the body is so grateful to be putting the feet up for a little bit.
I had a great time in Melbourne during the Australian Closed Championships. I was happy with the way I played but unfortunately my hip had gotten pretty sore. I have been battling with bursitis to my right hip for the past month and all the tough competition during the Women's World Teams in Canada had put a lot of strain on it. I played smart squash to get myself to the final, the body was struggling but I feel my squash has improved out of sight after all the tough matches I played in Canada.
I will get back into the gym next week with re-hab exercises, light cardio, yoga and loads stretching and pool work.
I'd like to say a huge thank you to all of my sponsors Harrow Sports, Ashaway String, Stafford Squash, Physical Addiction, Squash Australia and the Sports Commission for their fantastic ongoing support.
I'd also like to give a huge shout out to all of my supporters, friends and squash fans who helped me out this year financially through donations to my campaign. Every little bit of support, encouragement and guidance I receive goes a long way inspiring me to keep following my dreams.
Merry Christmas to you and promise me you'll all stay safe x
